TailblazerTM Pet Products was inspired by “Fatti” our Lhasa Apso
and conceived over the kitchen table, in 1999, in
Toronto, Ontario.
Fatti needed clothes—and not
just any old thing would do. We weren't happy with what was available on
the market and decided to make her “designer” wear. The response was quite
a surprise! Soon we had other dog owners asking for special coats and
products for their dogs and the rest is history. We started out as
a craft type business, but due to the response to our efforts we soon
grew. In 2000 we made the move to Owen Sound, Ontario, a pretty little
community on beautiful Georgian Bay, and opened Tailblazer
TM Pet Emporium and Grooming
Salon. We will celebrate our fifth year in September 2005.
Elaine Doy and myself, Joanne Puchalski,
each bring our own unique talents and skills to
TailblazerTM. Elaine
is an accomplished artist and woodworker with a background in graphic arts
and training as a professional dog groomer. She is the artisan of all
our wood products and each piece shows her pride in it’s creation. I
contribute my love of fabric and design. I've been
designing and sewing garments for myself and now my creativity
has “gone to the dogs” so to speak! |
